My name is Susan Black and I am the artist behind A Jeweled Journey.
​
I started my art journey in 2024.
Back in 2018, I retired ​from a career as a Pediatric Neurology Nurse
​
I needed to stay at home full time to take care of my husband who had a diagnosis of Early, Young Onset Alzheimer's Disease.
Being a full time caregiver is all consuming You can easily lose any sense of your true self as you focus 100% on the care of your loved one
​
I found myself falling down a rabbit hole, so my doctor suggested that I take up a hobby.
And that is when A Jeweled Journey was born.
